Sister Soul Currently studying at university, with plans on pursuing a teaching career. SS likes to consider herself as a "modern poet; with traditional values". She has been writing since she was 13, according to her this was the only way she could express herself. SS's poems are about her life, thoughts and opinions on many topics and issues that surround her. SS feels she has "a very unique and raw style of writing". So far no performances under her belt so this event would provide her with a great opportunity to show her work and maybe work with other poets, but rather concentrating on publishing a book of her poems soon. In the process, SS has won a few competitions, with results of getting a few of her poems published in poetry anthologies/literary books, including the “Poetry Rivals”. Sister Soul is working on getting the following poems published “war”, “facebook”, “little black sheep” and “I’m not hurting”. She believes in hope and hard working, this is why she has worked alongside many Somali charities over the years Such as UCLAN. "There is a lack of role models within our community hopefully working with Miss Somali UK will help eradicate this.

Twenty One year-old Adiyam from North London has dedicated the majority of her life to the study of great music. And after discovering her own vocal ability, Adiyam has since worked hard to perfect her craft.
Reflecting on her younger years, Adiyam says; 'Growing up, I was quite unaware of my vocal ablity. Alongside this, I was always quite shy. However, I feel as though I have now reached a stage in my life where I ready both mentally and physically to give a whole lot more to my music.'
Having previously performed at numerous talent shows, including Wood Green's Jazz Festival and Alexander Palace's fireworks display, Adiyam talks about the passion she feels about good music. 'For me, music is a gift: a gift presented to us through the way in which it holds the power to free us, from however and whatever we feel. Music is also an art. Through which, I have been given the gift of expression.'
Talking about the development of her music now, Adiyam says 'I am very fortunate to have met and bonded well with an amazing team.' Often found recording at North Londons Wordplay studios, Adiyam has met Mix- a sound engineer and producer who has been running strong in the game for the past 10 years. I really couldn't ask for a better team! And it is through our work together, that I plan to take the UK urban scene by storm'

Nuur A very talented and multi-skilled, 17 year old, upcoming MC/Artist/Songwriter/Producer/Mixer. He has been doing music for almost 3 years but has in actual fact started to push his material in the last few months. Nuur feels that his work is unique in terms of content, flow and delivery, in the sense that there aren’t many young artists who can actually write good songs and do it like he does. Nuur is a "feel good" music writer and does music that sounds good to the ear and certain people can relate to most of the times. “Give me the mic and i’ll run away with it”. A lot of established artists get their work written for them. We hope this event will provide an opportunity for Nuur to further his ambitions of appealing to a "bigger crowd".
